Bridgette's Dream Home

So in class we have been designing rooms through concept statements for one another and it has got me thinking about if money was not really an object, what do I really like? Below I have attached a slide show of all the things that I would like to someday be inspirations for my own home. I would describe my personal style as contemporary traditional with nautical elements. Enjoy my dream home and think about what your dream home would look like.

Greetings!

I'm Melissa, also one of the 13 Sophomores in the IDES program at MTSU. I've always had always had a hunch that I wanted to be in the interior design field from very early on, although...have started my "major" courses late in my college career. I've always been told that I have an eye for detail, and so far its proved to serve me well. Born in Mississippi, my family somehow found themselves in Tennessee, and this is where I have lived for 98% of my 21 years of life. I may have been raised in a small town, but I am definitely a city girl at heart. I haven't quite decided where I want to take my career, but a majority of my interests lye in sleek modern or vintage designs. I am so grateful to have such amazing peers during my journey as a budding interior designer. Wish us luck!

Hello Everyone!

This is Bridgette and I am one of the 13 Sophomores in the interior design program at MTSU. Just thought I would share a little about myself before we get started on our journey together. I believe I am the youngest student in our class coming in at a staggering twenty. I live about a mile from campus and I am about a five minute drive from our little renovated house that we use as a poor excuse for a learning establishment. We do spend around  30 hours a week in this shack so we have gotten pretty familiar with the little bathrooms that are still outfitted with the bath tubs. As for my future hopes and dreams I want to do multi-unit residences such as apartments and condos. Only time will tell for now!
